Rich Grado

Rich Grado has been teaching Guitar and Bass for 23 years, and has been at Moe's Music since 1995.  He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., where he studied guitar and bass performance, harmony, theory and arranging.  Through his teaching, both in Pennsylvania and Virginia he has taught several thousand students.

Many of Rich's students have gone on to attend the Berklee College of Music and the Musicians Institute.  Some have gotten recording contracts from major record labels.  Others have gone on to do recording and session work in L.A., New York, and Nashville.  Still others have become guitar or bass instructors themselves.

In addition to doing professional studio work, Rich has worked with a number of bands, including; PA - Bingo's Diesel, Silvership, Stranger, Pinnacle, The Edge, and recording/national tours with Cinema and The Shreds of Eden.  In Virginia Beach, Rich started the band Element, as well as playing with Stonebridge and No Frett.

Currently, he is playing in two projects in Virginia Beach - Jet Noise and Hot Rod Johnny.

In his teaching, Rich tailors each lesson to the student's area of interest, needs, and musical taste.  He teaches all levels and styles.  Lessons are meant to be fun and educational

Rich is also currently working on a Guitar Instruction book tentatively titled "The System", which is a complete fretboard system for chords, scales, and arpeggios.

Note:  In addition, Rich has been teaching Group Guitar Classes for the Virginia Beach Recreation Center here at Moe's Music Since 1997.
