Welcome to Moe's Music

Moe's Music has been serving the needs of beginner, amateur and professional musicians in the Tidewater area since 1988.  We occupy about 3400 square feet in Pinewood Shoppes on Virginia Beach Boulevard about 7 miles west of the oceanfront.  Into that space we've squeezed 6 lesson studios that house over 250 students each week, a repair facility and lots of instruments and accessories.  Moe's Music encourages you to visit us if you're a local, or even if you're just visiting (hello, tourists!).  This site contains news from the store, musical information, educational and related tidbits and links, and lesson program resources.  Feel free to contact Moe's Music via phone, snailmail or email with any other requests.

Please be aware that Moe's Music is not franchised for every brand (see our "brand listing" pages) and we don't carry vintage gear, recording equipment or pianos.  Our selection of used instruments is limited, and if a 1952 Telecaster, a Selmer MarkVI sax, a pre-WWII Martin acoustic guitar or any other such drool item shows up on our doorstep, Moe has but to place a phone call or two, and those type items will be sold before ever making it to the sales floor.

     Since Moe's Music is a neighborhood store at heart, we invite you to stop in and browse, or attend one of our events.  We also invite artists and other music organizations to contact us if you'd like to be included on our links page.

Our Mission

Moe's Music is here to support the lifelong fun of making music on the instrument of your choice.  Our ongoing aim is to provide musical services, education and equipment in a comfortable and honest environment,  and to continue to be a resource for information and advice for our music community.

Company Profile

     Moe's Music is the oldest music store in Virginia Beach, having started here and been in the same location since 1988.  Our continued existence is only made possible by our customers, and only the best customers in the world shop here.  Moe's Music has a highly regarded lesson program within the store, our annual events like the Moe Show in April and our Christmas Party are fun for all, and our rentals, repairs, and free advice are all popular.

     The Moe's Music sales staff is Chuck Moebus and Steve Jones.

MOE'S MUSIC DIRECTIONS:  
 
    From 264 heading east:  Take the second Lynnhaven Parkway exit; Lynnhaven North.  After circling back under 264, Lynnhaven Parkway ends at Virginia Beach Blvd.  Turn left, and Moe's Music is 1/2 mile (3 stoplights) on your left.

     From 264 heading west:  Take the first Lynnhaven Parkway exit; Lynnhaven North.  At the stoplight at the foot of the exit go straight across Lynnhaven Parkway and you'll be on North Lynnhaven Road.  This curves to the right, and your next stoplight is Virginia Beach Blvd.  Turn left, and Moe's Music will be on your left, and an easy u-turn brings you to our store.

MOE'S MUSIC STORE HOURS:

     Our regular business hours are Monday, 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM; Friday, 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM; and Saturday, 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
